Thank you for your interest in Adagio.
When you are looking for an alternative to the high rise, beach front bustle of
Puerto Vallarta, we are your haven from the crowds. Our house is located about 9
blocks from the beach in the Zona Romantica, with the Rio Cuale passing in front
of our building. With only 4 rental units, Adagio provides an intimate refuge
while offering you all the comforts and conveniences of much higher priced guest
houses.
Our two room suites consist of a kitchenette/living room area that has two sofas
that can be used as single beds and a bed/bath area with one double or queen
size bed. Each room is about the size of a standard US hotel room. Our studio
unit has a double bed. All our units offer color TV with cable, private baths,
maid/linen service, beach towels, A/C, ceiling fans, fully functional
kitchenettes, and high speed wireless Internet.
We also have a very private, plant filled inner courtyard with a home gym for
your use. Our rooftop terrace, complete with gas grill, refrigerator and wet
bar, is perfect for sunning when you don't feel like going to the beach and
offers spectacular city, mountain, sunset and partial ocean views. On site
laundry service is available at a nominal charge.
Part of the fun of travel is the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local
culture. Seasoned and adventurous travelers will appreciate the chance to
experience the daily life of our Mexican neighborhood. The "Mercado Municipal",
located a block away, is the heart of this vibrant barrio where locals and
visitors from around the world shop for the freshest meats, fish and fruits and
vegetables available in the city.
As you walk our streets, enjoy the sights and smells as you pass vendors
offering freshly cooked local specialties and freshly squeezed juices. Buy a
whole chicken that has been roasted on an open fire or visit some of the
outstanding local restaurants offering authentic Mexican cuisine. You'll be
greeted by warm, friendly people who truly appreciate your business. And don't
be surprised if you see donkeys and horses standing next to the parked cars
along the way.
While we are "off the beaten path", a short walk or cab ride will place you in
the heart of all the glitz and glamour of Puerto Vallarta. The major gay bars
and discos, as well as the restaurants, shopping and art galleries of the Olas
Altas and El Centro areas, are minutes from our door. Vallarta's world famous
flea market, where bartering for bargains is expected, and Cuale Island, with
some of Vallarta's best and most famous restaurants, artist workshops and
museums, are a few blocks down the street. The city plaza, Vallarta's signature
cathedral, and "malecon", are just a bit farther. You are completely safe
walking our streets any time of the day or night.
The next time you visit Vallarta, we hope you will join us in "the real Mexico"
at Adagio. Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you soon in the sunshine and
warmth of Puerto Vallarta.
Muchas Gracias!
Armando and Michael
